Hannah Arnesen

I work with painting, sketching, collage and writing. I have been focusing on visual storytelling and the combination of text and images in graphic novels, picture books, plays, film scripts, workshops and exhibitions. With a master in Illustration from Konstfack and training within creative writing, screenwriting, literature and philosophy, my interest is in how visual storytelling can make history and knowledge accessible. My work is aimed at different age groups, but always centers existential themes. It aims to create space for interaction and conversation.

The last three years, my main focus has been my fifth book “Stjärnstoft”. “Stjärnstoft” is a graphic novel portraying the climate crisis, and bringing the reader on a journey through the Earth’s past, present and future. It is a story about the process of the universe – where life turn to death and death turns to life.
