Linnéa Haviland
Linnéa (b. 1990) works interdisciplinary as a visual artist, filmmaker and illustrator and has a background as a puppeteer. She has a process-driven practice that is collaborative and experimental, and works mainly with mixed techniques in film and animation. Thematically, she explores how collaboration can have a subversive effect on hierarchies between artist, subject and material, upsetting stereotypical narrative structures.
Linnéa has a BA (Hons) in illustration and animation from Kingston University London. Her films have been screened internationally at festivals such as Annecy International Animation Festival, Oberhausen Kurtzfilmtage and BFI Flare. Her work has also been exhibited in galleries and museums, e.g. The Wellcome Collection, The Barbican, and the Boston Museum of Science.
Meanwhile at Transit, she looks forward to finding new collaborations and completing an ongoing animated short film project.
