Haben Solo

Haben Solo is primarily a photographer. He would like to highlight his very day life by his hard and raw imagery. His narration is always taken with a lot of humility and honesty.

Habens artistic education began with his father who was a photographer in Eritrea before he joined the resistance movement. His father trade his camera for a weapon. Haben continued his education on the streets of Rinkeby and Tensta where hiphop was big and crime even bigger. Art is the only thing that gave Haben the tools to understand his environment. It has always been his way off processing feelings and thoughts.

Metaphors and symbols are part of Habens method and style. A photographer who uses the camera lens to paint reality as he sees it.

In Habens ongoing work, “The Photo Suspect” they are three words that are the starting point: fear, power and reality.

Haben Solo has also worked as a director, editor, producer, scriptwriter and as a motion picture photographer. Haben has worked in various areas, from television assignments to advertising and music videos.
