Petter Wallenberg is a musician, author, director and LGBTQ activist and works with a multidisciplinary combination of different art forms. He is the author of the acclaimed books The story of Leila K and Bögjävlar, and editor of the award-winning magazine Mums. As a musician, songwriter and producer he uses the stage name House of Wallenberg and releases music through his own label Mums Mums Records. He also directs all the music videos for his songs, and these have been shown at both international film and Pride festivals.
Petter’s work is a creative celebration of queer culture as well as advocacy for human rights. In 2013 his hit single Love Yourself Test Yourself, released on Universal, was the signature track of the award-winning StopHIV-campaign by the same name, and in 2016 he released the single “Keep On Dancing (Until We’re Free)” in collaboration with among others world famous drag artist Lady Bunny, to fundraise for the families of the Victims in Orlando massacre. As the founder of the organization Rainbow Riots, Petter’s forthcoming project is a cultural manifesto featuring LGBTQ-artists and activists from some of the world’s most homophobic countries.
