Sona Stepanyan

Sona Stepanyan (b. 1987, Armenia) is a curator based in Stockholm. Her international curatorial practice has consistently been manifesting and centering artistic practices and in-depth context-driven thinking through research, exhibitions, and public programming.

Stepanyan’s previous institutional work includes Mint Konsthall, The Swedish Curators’ Association, Armenia Art Foundation, and Garage Museum of Contemporary Art.

Independently, Stepanyan has been involved in jurying, guest curating, and consulting for international stipends, awards, and ongoing programs, including for Saastamoinen Foundation, Stroom Den Haag, Armenia Arts Council, viennacontemporary, Han Nefkens Foundation and others.

Her upcoming curated exhibition, Seger över Segern, is on view at Havremagasinet, Boden until May 2025.
