Helena Sandström
Helena Sandström works as a director, actor and scriptwriter, primarily for the stage, since 2003. She enjoys working cross-genre and multi-disciplinary, with great interest in current public debate. Helena has worked both for theatre institutions and fringe groups and have for example directed the acclaimed production of Välkommen till Prekariatet (Welcome to the Precariat, 2015). Among other performances, she has acted in Vilda Hästar (Wild Horses, 2014), No Tears for Queers (2010) and Asylshopping (Asylum Shopping, 2009) . Helena has also worked at Swedish Radio with comedy programs and radio theatre.
Helena has a master’s degree in acting from the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts and a bachelor’s degree in Socialanthropology and Film Studies from the University of Stockholm.
