Lilja Fredrikson
Lilja Fredrikson is a freelance actor and multidisciplinary artist based in Stockholm. She trained in acting at the Stockholm University of the Arts and, since graduating in 2015, has worked with Malmö City Theatre, Riksteatern, Folkteatern in Gothenburg, Uppsala City Theatre, Parkteatern, and Turteatern.
In her artistic practice, Lilja moves freely between theatre, dance, film, and performance. She works across disciplines and experiments with genre-defying expressions, with a particular focus on the relationship between movement and text, embodiment and presence. Recurring themes and methods in her work include transformation, the absurd, sociology, structure, aesthetics, and class.
Lilja is one of the founders of Rabbit Hole – a platform for performing arts, film, club culture, and artist salons – and since 2024 she has been running Scen Rabbit Hole at Reimersholme Hotel, where works such as Katalogaria and Maskot premiered.
She is currently developing All of it – a choreographic monologue – and is featured in the performance Who’s Sorry Now?, a collaboration with Osynliga Teatern at Scen Rabbit Hole. In autumn 2025, she will also appear in Framtidsbarnet at Riksteatern.
